Every time I see these butler stats it makes me a little more disappointed in Ben Simmons.

Jimmy has been shooting horribly, but the mere fact that he’s willing to shoot makes the defense play more honestly than they would against Simmons.

There’s value in just attempting shots. I feel like Ben could shoot at least 28% on wide open threes. His refusal to even attempt is really perplexing.

Butler’s shooting splits have looked pretty bad all season. These threads seem to pop up every time the Heat lose. Nobody cares when they’re winning but if they actually want to be taken seriously come playoff time Jimmy needs to step it up.

He’s still been a good player despite the splits, but good isn’t enough.

Most of those shooters are awful defenders though and can’t handle or playmaker particularly well. It’s the major flaw on the team right now, too many one way guys. So if say Dragic Herro Nunn or Leonard aren’t hitting shots they tank the team.

If we’re talking about Jimmy’s efficiency dipping it has to be said that he’s playing point guard for this team and he’s our best scorer and he’s guarding the other teams best defender and now he’s injured apparently so I’m not judging him too hard and hope either Winslow comes back or we make a move soon.
